Dear Neighbours,

As February arrives, our community welcomes the gentle, comforting pulse that winter usually offers. The days stay cool, tranquil, and a bit shorter, yet there’s a growing brightness in the mornings and in our continuous support for each other. This month’s Gazette is heartfelt, shared aiming to keep us all feeling united, at home, and connected to our community.

February is commonly known as a month of love, yet in our community, love reveals itself in numerous simple gestures: a wave in the hallway, a cheerful chat by the mailbox, or reaching out to a neighbour during the colder days or joining other community members for a program or event at the SCA. These little, thoughtful interactions cultivate the warmth that truly defines our living environment and the place we proudly refer to as home.

Friendly reminders about our upcoming events:

1. The SCA will be hosting a Bloom and Brush Paint Night on February 13, 2026.

2. Don’t forget to register for our 2026 summer camps! Visit our website for more information and registration (www.scacalgary.ca).

3. If you love to dance join us on March 13 for our senior’s dance, tickets can be purchased from our office and are limited, so get yours before they sell out!

The SCA is looking for input from the community regarding a mural in our foyer. We would be very grateful and welcome your thoughts on what our community means to you! Kindly send your contributions to [email protected]. A great way to become involved and have your creative side come to life!

Additionally, if you have any recommendations, concepts, or stories to share or you wish to see featured in an upcoming Gazette, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. This newsletter genuinely reflects all of us and the communities we support.

In closing as winter gradually transitions, we eagerly anticipate the natural changes that the upcoming weeks will bring. February offers us a moment to pause, reflect, and get ready for the brighter days that lie ahead.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank you for being a part of our community. It is the residents like you, your kindness, understanding, and daily presence that make our community so unique.

Wishing you a peaceful and cozy February.
