As I write this, the City crews are putting up street sweeping signs, so by the time you’re reading this all the winter gravel should be cleared away. One of the other messes that is harder to clean up is graffiti. Our facilities, City infrastructure, and private properties have been marred by a wave of graffiti. It seems worse than what we’ve seen in the past. Please report any graffiti or painting activities to 3-1-1.
Unfortunately, the date of delivery of our Chronicle is beyond our control and is sometimes later than we’d hope. There are two online alternatives to the printed newsletter. One is our e-newsletter, available through our community association webpage at woodcreekcommunity.ca. You can also sign up to receive it via email. This also puts you on the email list for periodic emails from us about breaking news or event changes. The other alternative is the Great News Media site, where an electronic version of the printed newsletter is available before the printed version arrives in your mailbox. Event Reminders
Our Community Pantry Grand Opening is May 4 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. We have invited some special guests, and a $2 donation gets you a hotdog, chips, and a drink.
Our Community Cleanup day is May 25 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. This is our event, not the City sponsored one. We will have the shredding truck, e-recycling (we get a grant based on weight, so bring your electronics!), along with the garbage bins, plus the metals, paint, tires, and batteries. Sorry, no composting truck. Please have your membership up to date.
The next Good Food box ordering deadline is May 27. Donating a box to the pantry is an easy way to help keep it stocked with fresh produce.
