The ability to explore our world through a Fine Arts lens is such an amazing experience for our students. Walking through the halls of our school you will see students’ artwork, along with student created narrative explanations describing the process of creating this art.
On May 4th we are hosting our Open House and Fine Arts Extravaganza. This is an opportunity for new parents to learn more about the program, and for our current parents and guests to come in and explore the amazing artwork that is being created here. The students and the staff are so proud of the wonderful student art. The Open House runs from 6:00pm – 6:30pm, and the Fine Arts Extravaganza runs from 6:30 – 7:30pm.
On Thursday, May 18th, St Philips Fine Arts School will be hosting a family dance for students and their families. Our ‘Carnival’ themed event will include games, dancing and a silent auction. All funds raised will be used to benefit programs at St. Philips Fine Arts School. If you or your company are able to sponsor or contribute to our silent auction, please contact Triena Partridge at: [email protected].
Field trips are a key part of the learning experience for students. In May the Grade 3 classes are off to the Glenbow Museum, the Kindergarten classes will go to the Telus Science Centre, and on June 2nd the grade 6 classes will make their annual trip to the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton.
