March Forward, Together
As we step into March, we’re reminded that this month includes International Women’s Day. This is a moment to recognize the leadership, resilience, and dedication of the women who strengthen our families, workplaces, and communities. We are grateful for the many women who engage in our community, lend their expertise, and help move this project forward. A special thank you to our directors, Peggy Tse and Sarah Kromm, Councillor. Wyness, and MLA Michelle Rempel-Garner for your community leadership and support. Your impact is felt every day.
Our mission remains the same: to provide social and recreational amenities, and promote social and recreational activities, for residents of the Symons Valley communities of Nolan Hill, Sage Hill, Kincora, and Sherwood. And we’re excited to share meaningful progress toward making Symons Valley Park a reality.
Project Updates: Progress on the Ground
We’ve reached an important milestone in our planning and design phase. Our team is currently conducting geotechnical boreholes on the project site, a critical step that informs the safety, design, and long-term success of the park.
This work supports several key areas of development:
• Review and refinement of proposed park amenities
• Landscape studies
• New project drawings
These steps are essential to ensure the park is thoughtfully designed, structurally sound, and built to serve our community.

We are currently seeking to fill two Board of Director positions:
• Director at Large
• Director of Fund Development
These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about community building and want to play an active role in shaping the future of Symons Valley Park. Experience in leadership, fundraising, governance, or community engagement is an asset, but passion and commitment are most important.
