Winter is here but we are keeping warm with all of our activities happening in the school!

Queen E has a new student-run cafeteria. Chef Sabrina del Ben has started up an exciting foods program in our café. Our students are excited to learn about the restaurant industry and the rest of us are excited for the food!

On October 23, we were honoured and humbled to welcome Holocaust survivor Mr. Max Eisen to our school. Our students gained so much from Mr. Eisen’s personal account of his imprisonment in Auschwitz.

On November 8th, we will hold our Remembrance Day ceremonies. We welcome community members to attend. It will be held in our Senior Gymnasium. We are always very proud of our students at this ceremony both for their creative ways of honouring our fallen and also for their respectful attention as audience members.

November 14th, the Queen E Debate Team will be hosting a tournament. Good luck to all the teams and a big thank-you to our debaters and coaches for organizing this big event!

Also, this month, Northern Lights Wildlife will be visiting some of our Grade 9 classes with one of their wolves to teach our students about biological diversity and the value of keystone species, like wolves, in our ecosystems.

Both in November and December, our Grade 10 students will be visiting and volunteering at the Calgary Drop-In Centre to lend a hand or a shoulder to those in need.
