For our 20th anniversary, we are proud to present the next chapter in this horrifying experience:
WASTELANDS 2 – The Outbreak!
The basic needs that became luxuries in Outpost 117 are all but gone. Territories and bunkers are the new reality, just to maintain survival. But that’s not all, something else seems to be threatening the limited living conditions that still exist. Will it spell doom for the remaining population? How many will fall victim? Will you survive? Is this the end…?
Although the theme continues, you can expect many different elements: an all-new layout and brand-new thrill. Construction is well underway to complete this all new experience for 2019. In early 2016 it was decided to re-imagine our home haunt into one cohesive theme that would change every 2 years. Following the great success of Asylum in 2016, Asylum II: Re-Admitted in 2017, and Wastelands on 2018, we are keeping true to our promise and preparing an all-new experience to frighten and terrify our patrons. As always, this endeavor is a labour of love for us, we personally devote so much time and resources and countless trips to Home Depot into making an experience for all to remember.
Our attendance was consistent last year compared to years before but unfortunately our donations dropped significantly. We remind people that we happily support the Veterans Food Bank and to PLEASE BRING A DONATION in exchange for the experience. We would also like to remind people that due to new fire regulations that we must abide by, our expenses have increased to purchase items like fire retardant tarps, fire extinguishers, emergency exits and hazard free building materials to name a few. We are currently selling Fast Passes to help offset some of these costs. A link for the passes can be found on our website or Facebook page.
If anyone has concerns about our build, please come and discuss with us, we are reasonable people and are happy to discuss rather than scramble to meet new criteria because of a complaint that almost shut us down completely in 2016.
We are also looking for donations of Prizes and/or supplies from any local businesses for gift baskets as well as food and refreshments for our many volunteers.
Located at: 117 Chapalina Close SE. Please feel free to drive or walk by to see what’s happening. Please drive with caution as we do attract a lot of kids. On Halloween night the street will be closed off unless you live on the street. We have upwards of 6000 people who visit us each year, so please be respectful and keep it safe for everyone.
