Due to the concerns brought up by the citizen at Woodbrook Way and Woodbine Blvd SW, The City of Calgary Mobility Department is proposing a special traffic calming treatment at this curve that will include a temporary yellow traffic calming curb in the median with an additional curve warning sign. They are hoping that this additional narrowing and warning will reduce the speed and more clearly communicate the need to slow down to approaching motorists. Pending funding, the project will be included in the 2023 safety improvement program.
In the meantime, the CPS Residential Safety Unit will be monitoring the area. Be aware of your speed and slow down on our residential streets.
