Hi everyone,
Spring has sprung! The weather is so much nicer now than when we received all the snow in March. They say that April showers bring May flowers. We are hoping that we have enough rain to make the farmers and our gardens happy, but not too much!
Ramadan rented our hall for their month of prayers. We were very happy to accommodate them and are hoping that they will return next year.
We had a great turnout at the AGM and a wonderful Volunteer Appreciation Night with tunes from Monarch music, lots of socializing, and a dart tournament.
By the time this newsletter is published, our first annual Spring Craft Fair on April 27 will have already taken place. Thank you to all involved for setting up and cleaning up. Many thanks to all of our awesome crafters. Hope to see all of you again at our Christmas Craft Fair. Date to follow in our next Crier.
We are all looking forward to May 25 for our annual Queensland Community Parade of Garage Sales. Please call or text Dorothea Sautter and Vicki Fair-Bairn at 403-613-8133 or 403-850-1322 to register before May 20.
This year we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary as Queensland Community Association on June 22. Details of events will be posted in the next Crier.
Our given date for the annual Cleanup Day is June 29. Time to do our spring clean up inside and outside of our houses and garages.
We have been slated to have our Casino on Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17 at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino. This is our biggest fundraiser for our Community Association. Use this link to volunteer: https://www.queenslanddiamondcove.com/casino. Please see more information in this newsletter and come and join us!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there!
Cheers,
Brian
