Prairie Winds H Club October

by Jackie Donner (Parent Volunteer)

Every year our club participates in cleanup at the Battle Lake 4-H Center in May. Over the course of a weekend our club performed many tasks indoors and on the grounds. This summer many of our club members got to attend a summer camp and enjoyed the fruits of their labour. At the camps they learned new skills and met new people. They engaged in formal teamwork, leadership and communication sessions. Most importantly they had loads of fun! Favourite activities included canoeing and cooking popcorn on the fire pit. The food was amazing and abundant. Camp is a place where kids can be kids and their memories of this summer will last a lifetime.

The Prairie Winds 4-H Club gathered again in September for their annual Open House Ice Cream Social. This informal social was the perfect opportunity to find out more information on the club, view the calendar for the year, meet our members and ask questions. If you missed it, you are not too late to find out more about the club. Our first meeting is Friday, October 4th and we accept registrations in October. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
