November Musings and News from the Hidden Valley-Hanson Ranch Board

HV HIDDEN VALLEY BOARD e

by Karla W

The new HVCA Board – voted in at the AGM in June – is adjusting well to their positions. We have had two board meetings since our AGM back in June and there has been lots of goings-on.

  • We have appointed 2 new directors at large. Our board now sits at 10 directors, and 3 coordinators.
  • Ball Hockey started in September. One event was run by HVCA (shout out to Spencer W!) and the other by the City of Calgary. Great to see our new rink being utilized before the snow even flies.
  • We had a community cleanup in late September in partnership with the City of Calgary (a big thank-you to Steve, Aliece and Jenn for running this event!).
  • The next community event is the Family Winter Festival in January. Tune in to our website www.hiddenhut.org for further details.
  • Our HVCA membership year runs January-December, so watch for membership renewals in your email and the newsletter (yes, you CAN sign up online). January early bird special – you only pay $25, rather than $30.
