Hello Fairviewers!
We’re into May (and maybe spring?) and there is a lot on the go in and around our great community.
The community association is always looking for great new events and programs, in addition to our annual events, like the Parade of Garage Sales, Spring Fling, Bowling with Santa, Movie in The Park, and more.
All of our events are funded by membership fees, donations, or grants, and through gaming funds earned at our casinos. If you haven’t had a chance to get your Fairview Community Association membership, you can grab it at fairviewcommunity.ca/membership or mail in your request using the form in this month’s newsletter.
A huge thank-you go out to everyone who volunteered to help with our membership drive in April. This enthusiastic group went door to door to chat with Fairviewers and provide an easy opportunity to grab a yearly membership. A huge thank-you to Regan for coordinating the membership drive! Initiatives like this wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers. Thank you to Liz, Dave, Melody, Les, Regan, Emily, Robyn, Michelle, Pat, Sam, Wayne, Nicole, Donna, Megan, and Alicia who picked up routes and shared your community spirit!
We have a few more events lined up for June, including our Annual General Meeting in Flavelle Park on Tuesday June 4, 2024. Everyone is welcome (and encouraged) to attend! If you’re interested in joining the board, please let me know. We have a variety of positions available and are happy to have new people join us.
Fairview’s Wine and Cheese will be hosted at Divine Flooring on Saturday, June 15, 2024. This is always an extremely fun night and a great opportunity to meet and socialize with your neighbours.
