Hard to believe that summer is over! When we look back at everything this year has thrown at us, we can only be grateful for the amazing community we have. We need to stop to thank everyone who is alongside with us in making this the most amazing community in Calgary. When the pandemic started, we had to abruptly cancel our Easter Egg Hunt, so our team could focus on ensuring we could be there for anyone who needed support. From getting groceries, running errands for neighbours, and participating in celebrating special occasions during a time were isolation took over our city. Those nightly birthday parades became a tradition which continues to this day, thanks to some community members. This is what makes our community unique and special.
We haven’t been able to connect in person as much as we would like to, but we didn’t let Neighbour Day pass without a virtual celebration. We’ve been here close to you and working to continue delivering a value to your membership, while together we build our community.
To the over 100 families who are members of the Calgary Legacy Community Association, we want to thank you for being a member with us this last year. Being a member means supporting your community spirit, making community events possible, and helping shape the vision of our community into the future. We know these last few months have presented unique challenges for every family in Legacy, but your support is appreciated beyond words! Therefore, we have extended all active memberships purchased from 2019 onwards, up to October 31, 2020 for an additional 6 months. For example, if you purchased a membership in September, 2019, your membership expiry is now March, 2021.
To those who haven’t joined us yet, please reach out if you have questions or need to understand our role in the community. We will be happy to clarify any questions and explain why your involvement is key to the future of our community. Feel free to email us at [email protected].
