Hello Mckenzie Lake Residents! Autumn is my favourite colour!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INFORMATION BELOW IS DEPENDENT ON HOW THE COVID-19 SITUATION DEVELOPS
We are officially into autumn! I am writing this at the end of August and hopefully now everything is humming along in the community. Check our website and Facebook page, as well as the permanent sign out front for updates.
We missed not being able to hold the McKenzie Frenzie this year, but it was certainly the right thing to do!
You can go to our website to see if there are openings for Preschool and for our Before and After School program!
McKenzie Tots is a drop in program for parents and children, usually held on Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. There is a $5 drop-in fee, many toys for the children, coffee, and a great opportunity to visit and make new friends. The school year began with delaying this program unless and until there are protocols that can be put in place for everyone’s safety.
The same goes for pickleball, which is normally on Monday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. We will do our best to advertise if and when we are ready to resume this great activity. There is a $5 drop-in fee. We provide all the equipment, just bring yourself and a good pair of indoor shoes!
The McKenzie Lake Annual General Meeting will be held on October 20, and the Board of Directors is looking to fill vacant positions. If you are interested in getting involved and being a champion for your community, and having your voice heard, or if you have any questions, forward your questions/resume to [email protected].
Our office is closed for Thanksgiving.
October – Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower!
