Board Member position opened

We have room for a new Director! The perfect candidate has skills in Communication, IT, Marketing, or critical thinking. They are an energetic resident of Palliser, Bayview, or Pumphill, and are looking for a way to contribute to the community.

Rink Volunteers Needed

One of the most popular facilities at the PBP is the skating rink. A small group of volunteers maintain the ice surface for everyone’s enjoyment. They’re looking for an additional volunteer or two to join the team.

Email Jill at [email protected] to connect with the Rink crew!

November / December at the PBP

Here is a peek at the events that are coming up in November and December:

Seniors Brunch – This is an opportunity to bump into others in the community and enjoy a great meal (free for Members).

Christmas Market December 1 – Come and check out the Market or if you’re a crafter, book a table. We are expecting a visit from Santa, so bring the kids by to meet the Jolly man in Red and decorate Christmas Cookies!

AGM Meeting

Calling all PBP Members: mark Feb. 5 in your calendar for the PBP AGM. The AGM is an opportunity for current PBP Members to vote on a few initiatives as well as to share your thoughts on how your Community Association has been doing! This Newsletter and our website www.pbpcommunity.ca will have further details as the event approaches.

Community Visioning Committee

This Committee is a mixed PBP-Board & Volunteer Committee, put together to facilitate the development of a Community Vision Document. It is an opportunity to learn more about the City Planning process, and to help our community members realize the future vision of Palliser, Bayview and Pumphill!

Recent activities for this committee include meeting with Urban Planners from the Federation of Calgary Communities, as well as our first monthly meeting.

We need more Community Members to join the Committee!

Send a note to me at [email protected] to get involved.

Regards,

Brennen Jaques
