Killarney-Glengarry’s July Note from the Editor

Hello Neighbours!

On one of my daily walks recently, I ventured a little further than usual and discovered the Douglas Fir Trail, which leads from Edworthy Park to Cedar Crescent in the neighbouring community of Spruce Cliff. What started out as a walk, became a hike and I was delighted to find a wonderful natural retreat mere steps from the hustle and bustle of urban life and walking distance from my home. It is amazing what hidden gems we can find in our communities and often all it takes is to walk someplace new. For more information on the Douglas Fir Trail (as well as other Calgary City Parks) check out: https://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Parks/Pages/Locations/SW-parks/Douglas-Fir-Trail.aspx.

Now that summer is well underway, I hope that you are all enjoying what this community and city has to offer for outdoor recreation. I for one will definitely be exploring more of Calgary’s green spaces.

Once again, I hope you are all well and until the next time, stay healthy and safe!
