Happy fall!

Well, here we are, summer has said goodbye. The fall cleanup day came and went, and our community is preparing for yet another busy winter at the rink. No doubt we will see our ice crew busy at work.

This August at the Sarcee Meadows summer barbeque I had the pleasure of meeting our resident wood carver, Mr. Rae. We had a great visit, and I got to learn about the art of wood carving. Mr. Rae brought several beautiful bird carvings to show. His love for this special art is very evident. Thanks for coming and shedding light on your talent.

I know that our community has many artists living within this area. I just wish the main hall was open again, so we could showcase them at a special event. Those craft and art sales were always a great time for community people to gather.

I have just noticed that our Annual General Meeting is fast approaching, circle your calendar and plan to attend. The board works hard all year long to support Rutland Park, we in turn need to show our appreciation. If you need a membership, I am certain someone will be there to sell you one.

Well friends, this is all for now. Hope to see some of you at the AGM.

In the meantime, always leave time to smell the roses. Talk soon,

Cheers!
