Greetings Ward 12,

As life transitions outdoors, many Ward 12 residents will be sharing the outdoors with active construction. This is a natural consequence of Ward 12 being one of the fastest growing quadrants in Calgary, and Calgary benefiting from extremely high inter-provincial and foreign migration. Ward 12 has some of the best, most dense, amenity-rich, and complete neighbourhoods being built anywhere and is poised to absorb much of the growth needs for our City in the years to come.

Calgary is increasingly becoming a destination of choice for people looking for jobs and opportunities, combined with a high standard of living. Throw in the fact that Calgary is still one of the most affordable major centers in Canada and there is little reason to see these trends changing soon.

One of the major benefits of this increase in migration is the positive impact it can have on our local economy. When people move to Calgary, they often bring with them new skills, experiences, and perspectives that help to drive innovation and growth. This often leads to new business opportunities, job creation, and increased investment in the city. This positive cycle of investment is extremely important for unlocking Calgary’s full potential. This is just one way Calgary benefits from welcoming new Calgarians.

If you are dealing with the dust, noise, and interruptions of a developing block, intersection, commercial area, or other space in our Ward—remember that it is all in an effort to welcome our country and world to Calgary and build a better future for all.

Please don’t hesitate to contact my office at [email protected] or 403-268-1698 if you have feedback.
