Presidents Message
Hooray for May! The trees are leafing out,
and the weather is warming up. So exciting to be this season.
I write these publications a month in
advance. Today as I write, Calgary is receiving another heavy snowfall. The
energy in the city is contemptuous – how can winter persist? But this heavy wet
spring snow is actually one of the highest water volume contributions that we
get. So, I have shifted my thinking to appreciate the water that was
given.
Amazing to think that we will likely have
brave Canadian weather-hardened members on the beach in May. Please remind
yourselves of water safety before swimming. Know your limits and be vigilant
with supervising kids. We are looking forward to another amazing summer of
water activities.

General Meeting in June. Participation is appreciated.
