Rutland Park January Musings

Well, here we are 2024! Time does fly when we are having fun, or maybe time just flies.

Our 51st year is upon us here in Rutland Park. I must say that our new rink lights are the highlight of the departing year. The main hall remains closed for now, but we should get word soon on the repair/reno status.

This month, I would like to pay special homage to our retiring rink/ice manager, Greg Winiki. Thank you for the many, many years of service to our community. Happy trails!

Back on November 11, about 30 or more people met at the Currie Park to honour and remember our fallen from the past wars. Let’s always be grateful, do good, and be kind. We are living in troubled times, our prayer for this world is that some peace can prevail.

As we move into 2024, take care of each other, and always take time to smell the roses.

Cheers,

Isabell
