Hello neighbours – we are still in need of several volunteers for the casino taking place at the end of this month, specifically on Sunday, December 1.
We are very lucky to have been awarded another opportunity to work at the casino and raise funds for our community. These casinos generally raise between $60,000 to $70,000 which makes up a significant portion of our spending on projects. Currently we have earmarked the funds to go towards the revitalization of our skating rink in Montreux so that it can become more of a community hub for residents of all ages to enjoy year-round. We will be hosting engagement sessions later this month – keep an eye on our website and social media for more information on this project.
Please consider joining us to volunteer – it is a really fun way to help the community. You get to meet your neighbours, handle lots of money, and all shifts include free meals from the restaurants onsite. You can also bring a friend or family member along; volunteers are not limited to community members.
Dates: Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, 2024
Times: Shifts vary daily from 11:00 am until 3:30 am
Location: Elbow River Casino, 218 18 Ave SE Calgary
Positions include Cashier, Chip Runner, Banker, and Count Room.
