Let’s take turns watering our lawns and landscapes to protect Calgary’s water supply. Calgary’s Lawn and Landscape Watering Schedule is a year-round schedule that sets regular days and times for outdoor watering across Calgary. Water with a sprinkler or irrigation system up to three days per week based on the last number of your street address:
- Even street address (ending in 0,2,4,6,8) – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
- Odd street address (ending in 1,3,5,7,9) – Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays
Water before 10:00 am and after 7:00 pm on your assigned days to reduce evaporation and keep more water where it’s needed. The following activities are allowed any day, anytime:
- Hand watering landscapes (excluding grass) with a hose connected to a spring-loaded nozzle or watering can.
- Watering newly planted grass, trees, or shrubs.
- Watering fruits and vegetables.
- Filling pools, hot tubs, and fountains.
- Washing windows, decks, fences, and siding.
- Running through sprinklers.
