Calgary Transit has been working hard to improve its services over the past few months, including some route improvements in our ward. Route 23 that travels down 52nd will now be extended into Seton, Route 406 has become Route 75 and has extended service into more of Mahogany, and Route 468 becomes Route 79 with extended service into Seton, Auburn Bay, and Mahogany. These changes hope to provide much-needed coverage and offer more options for travelers using transit. If you have feedback about this, please let us and Calgary Transit know!
Calgary Transit has introduced a new app designed for easier functionality. The new app will help you navigate Calgary by using real-time, multi-modal trip planning that includes walking and bike options while using crowd-sourced data relating to the customer experience, such as even more accurate arrival time. The Transit app can be downloaded at www.transitapp.com/download.
To encourage Calgarians to use transit, Calgary Transit is offering discounted bus passes for the months of August and September. For $56 per month (a savings of fifty percent on adult passes), you can travel our city and experience the changes transit has been implementing for safety and user-friendliness. You can find information about this and more on their website at www.calgarytransit.com.
