The WSCRCA is thrilled to announce that the first annual Movie and Dinner in the Park, held on Friday, August 28, in the Aspen Hill Montessori yard, was a huge success! Not even the pandemic could keep this event from selling out in just a few minutes. It was unfortunate that due to social distancing restrictions we could only open it up to 20 families. 722 World Bier Haus brought the popcorn and drinks for all the families, and kept the energy going throughout the night. Prior to the movie, the Darcy Daniel’s band entertained our guests as they set up their camping chairs and enjoyed their dinner. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and it felt nice to end the summer on such a high note. Even the adults seemed to enjoy the movie, Dumbo, as much as the kids did!
Thank you to the volunteers who organized this special event and worked tirelessly throughout the evening cleaning and sanitizing the high touch zones. Due to such a positive response from our community members, we are already looking forward to hosting this event again next year, and hopefully being able to open it up to more attendees!
