New Brighton Crime Activity was Up in January 2024

New Brighton Calgary experienced 7 crimes in January 2024, in comparison to 6 crimes the previous month, and 9 crimes in January one year ago. The New Brighton community has an average of 5.9 crimes per month. On an annual basis, New Brighton had a total of 71 crimes as of January 2024, which is down 28% in comparison to 99 crimes as of January 2023. Total New Brighton community crimes is calculated as the sum of break & enters (dwelling, commercial, and other premises), theft from vehicles, theft of vehicles, assaults (nondomestic), commercial robberies, street robberies, and non-domestic ‘other’ violence.

New Brighton had 3 vehicle related crimes (theft of or theft from vehicles) in January 2024, in comparison to 5 vehicle related crimes in the previous month, and 5 vehicle related crimes in January 2023. On an annual basis, New Brighton had a total of 42 vehicle related crimes as of January 2024, which is down in comparison to 54 vehicle related crimes as of January 2023.
