Nolan Hill SVP Update

Welcoming June and Looking Ahead
Together

As we welcome the beginning of summer, we
want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended our Annual General
Meeting (AGM) on May 26, 2026. Your participation, feedback, and continued
support are incredibly important as we work together to bring Symons Valley
Park to life.

Seeing so many community members engaged in
the future of this project reminds us why this park matters so much. Together,
we are building more than a recreational space, we are creating a place where
families, friends, and neighbours can gather, play, and connect for generations
to come.

If you missed the AGM, be sure to check out
the recap blog post on our website for highlights and updates from the meeting.

Save the Date: Movie in the Park 2026

Mark your calendars! Our annual Movie in
the Park event will take place on September 12, 2026!

Bring your family and friends for another
unforgettable evening filled with movies, fun, laughter, and community spirit
at the future home of Symons Valley Park. We look forward to welcoming everyone
back for a fantastic night under the stars.

More details will be shared in the coming
months, so stay tuned!

We Need Your Help to Keep Moving Forward

always looking for volunteers to help with grant applications, donor outreach,

Did You Know?

Basketballs were originally brown, not
orange! The bright orange basketball we know today was introduced in the late
1950s to make the ball easier for players, referees, and fans to see during
games. The change quickly became the standard for basketballs around the world.1

Whether it’s basketball, playground games,
or open green spaces, parks help encourage active lifestyles, teamwork, and
confidence for children and families alike. Let’s make Symons Valley Park a
reality.

Warm regards,

Symons Valley Leisure and Amenities
Society
