Happy October!
As we move into fall and prepare
for the winter season, we are looking for residents who would like to give a little
of their time to support our community.
Volunteering doesn’t have to
mean making a big commitment. Sometimes, a few hours, a helping hand, or simply
being there for a neighbour can make a meaningful difference.
Here are a few opportunities
coming up at ECA:
Become a Snow Angel
Winter is just around the corner,
and we are now looking for residents to join our Snow Angels Program.
Snow Angels volunteer to help
seniors and neighbours who may have difficulty clearing snow from their sidewalks
and driveways after a snowfall. It is more than just shovelling snow — it can provide
someone with a sense of safety, independence, and peace of mind during the winter.
Last winter, we received some
incredibly heartfelt messages from families about how much their Snow Angels meant
to them. A small act of kindness can make a very big difference.
If you enjoy helping your neighbours
and don’t mind getting outside during the winter, consider becoming a Snow Angel
this season.
Help Us Keep the
Community Rink Going
Our Edgemont Community Ice Rink
is another wonderful winter gathering place for residents and families.
We are looking for residents
who would like to join our Rink Team and help with rink maintenance throughout the
winter season. It takes a team effort to keep the rink ready and enjoyable for everyone.
If you enjoy being outdoors and would like to contribute to one of our community’s
favourite winter spaces, we’d love to hear from you.
A Few More Casino
Volunteers Needed
Our ECA Casino Fundraiser is
coming up in November, and we are still looking for a few more volunteers.
The Casino is an important fundraising
event for ECA, helping support community programs, activities, and services throughout
the year. You don’t need previous casino experience to volunteer. It’s also a great
opportunity to meet other residents and be part of a team supporting the community.
Get Involved. Make
a Difference.
Whether it’s helping a neighbour
clear snow, keeping our community rink running, or supporting an ECA fundraiser,
there are many ways to get involved — and you don’t have to do it alone.
We’re always happy to welcome
new volunteers, and we’d love to see more Edgemont residents get involved in making
our community a little stronger, warmer, and more connected.
Just email us at [email protected]
and we’ll be happy to help you find an opportunity that works for you.
Thank you for being part of
the Edgemont community!
