October has arrived in all its colourful,
cozy glory. The changing leaves, crisp mornings, and busy community spaces make
this one of the most vibrant months of the year. It’s a wonderful time to enjoy
fall programs, reconnect with neighbours, and take in everything the season
brings.
With spooky season in full swing, a
friendly reminder that Halloween Howler tickets are now available online at
www.mckenzielakecommunity.com. This annual event will be on October 25 this
year and is one of our most popular nights—filled with costumes, music, games,
treats, and family fun. Tickets tend to go quickly, so be sure to grab yours
soon and join us for an unforgettable evening.
With winter approaching, many residents
have asked how to know which parks and pathways are maintained by MLCA for snow
and ice removal. The most reliable way is to check the MLCA website, where
you’ll find an updated map outlining all MLCA maintained areas. These are the
spaces our team clears and monitors throughout the winter season to ensure safe
access for walking, commuting, and recreation. You can also search
www.calgary.ca for the Calgary Pathways and Bikeways Map
We also invite all members to attend our
Annual AGM at MLCA on November 17, at 7:00 pm. This is your opportunity to hear
about the work currently underway, learn about future plans, and share your
voice. Your input helps shape the direction of our community, and we encourage
everyone to come out, stay informed, and have your say.
Wishing you a wonderful October—full of
fall colours, community connection, and exciting events ahead.
