‘Tis the season for
pumpkin spice lattes, long walks through crunchy leaves, and delicious comfort foods.
Hope you are enjoying every second!
A huge thank you to
everyone who attended our series of Music in the Park events in August! If you didn’t,
you missed out on some fantastic music from Mya Kate, Turner Bates, and Tim Gareau,
as well as delectable eats from food trucks Ice, Ice Baby, The Rolling Munchies,
Uzu Ice Cream, and Wonton Ninja! Thank you to all our volunteers who supported this
event and worked so hard to make it happen. We are already planning for similar
events for 2027, so watch our socials and our website!
Have you ever thought about joining
our Community Association Board? We are actively seeking new volunteer directors!
These positions require attendance at our monthly meetings and participation at
events and programs, but there is of course some flexibility within the roles, and
the rest of the Board would offer full support. (Ask us how!). The following positions
are available:
·
Event Director – we would welcome
more than one person in this role!
·
Grant Writing Director
·
Directors-at-Large – multiple people
can hold these positions – they don’t have a specific portfolio but can help with
whatever activities the Board is working on
·
Newsletter writer – this is not a
director role, but we could use the assistance! This is a position that requires
only 1 to 2 hours of work each month. (This would be a fantastic position for a
university student or anyone else who loves to write!).
If you are interested in any of the
volunteer director positions, or have any questions about them, please email Sheryl
at [email protected]. Our team is fun, supportive, and enthusiastic – and
we’d love to have you join us! Remember, serving on a Board is a great experience
to add to your CV – and volunteer work is always hugely rewarding! We can’t make
these amazing events and programming happen without you.
Finally, as spooky season is soon
upon us, feel free to send us photos of your decorated yards or adorable costume-wearing
pets – we may share them on our socials (with your permission, of course)! Email
your pics to [email protected].
