President’s Message
June is here, and it’s bringing plenty of
exciting momentum for our community!
We are absolutely thrilled to share that
we’ve received confirmation of $54,000 in CFEP matching funds to support our
hall renovations. This is a huge win for our community. Work is already
underway on the washrooms, with new countertops, sinks, and faucets installed.
Up next: fresh paint and brand-new partitions to complete the transformation.
Even more exciting, with this funding secured, the Board has given the green
light for additional improvements throughout the year—so you can expect to see
even more positive changes in the months ahead.
The good news doesn’t stop there. Thanks to
the Enmax Energizing Spaces grant, we’ve upgraded our kitchen with new Energy
Star–certified appliances, replacing our old fridge and stove. These new
appliances are a great start to our planned kitchen renovation, helping set the
stage for further upgrades to this important community space.
We’re also delighted to welcome two new
faces to the Board! Kirstin B. and Brenda B. have joined us in community
programming roles, and we’re excited to have their enthusiasm, ideas, and
energy helping to shape upcoming events and initiatives.
With summer just around the corner, our
much-loved Stampede Breakfast is fast approaching! This is one of our biggest
and most vibrant events of the year, and it wouldn’t be possible without
community support. If you’re able, please consider stepping up and supporting
Pat S. and Melissa G., this year’s event coordinators. It’s a fun, rewarding
way to meet neighbours and be part of something truly special.
And finally, don’t forget to get out and
soak up everything our community has to offer this summer. Whether you’re
enjoying brunch, grabbing a cold drink on a patio, or just spending time close
to home, supporting our local businesses helps keep our neighbourhood thriving.
