It’s hard to believe that it is already May, and
that I have now completed my first year as an ECA Board Director and Volunteer
Coordinator. Over the past year, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many
kind and caring residents who have shown incredible love and support for our
community.
From Good Food programs that supported families in
need, to volunteers helping with fun programs, community gatherings, and
seasonal activities, every contribution has made a positive difference in
Edgemont. No matter how big or small the role, every volunteer has helped make
our community stronger, warmer, and more connected.
We are also especially grateful to see more youth
volunteers stepping up and getting involved. During March and April, we worked
closely with a group of amazing student volunteers from Sir Winston Churchill
High School to help create an exciting Mother’s Day gathering at ECA. Their
creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm have been inspiring, and we hope everyone
enjoys the event!
As summer approaches, we are looking forward to
many more fun programs and community events. Of course, we will continue to
need volunteers to help keep everything running smoothly.
If you haven’t signed up to be part of our
volunteer team yet, we would love to have you join us. We always need helping
hands, fresh ideas, and caring hearts in our community! Please
email [email protected] for more information.
