Message From the Board
As we head into a busy and exciting spring
season, May brings new energy to our community with events, opportunities, and
continued momentum at the ACA. We’re proud to share the progress we’re making
together and the many ways you can get involved.
National Volunteer Week – Celebrating
Those Who Give Back
Last month, we proudly celebrated National
Volunteer Week by recognizing the incredible individuals who give their time
and energy to our community. We were honoured to host a dinner for our 2025
volunteers and their immediate families as a small token of our appreciation.
A special congratulations to Marvin Olson,
our 2025 Volunteer of the Year and also newly named Lifetime Member of the ACA.
Marvin is a long-standing volunteer who shows up time and time again to support
our events, and his dedication to this community runs deep. His decades of
consistent commitment and generosity truly embody the spirit of community!
Easter Egg Hunt – A Community
Celebration in April
Thank you to all the families who came out
to celebrate with us at this year’s Easter Egg Hunt. Your enthusiasm made it
our biggest event yet with record-breaking registrations! We’re also incredibly
grateful to our amazing community volunteers whose time and energy made the day
so special. We can’t wait for next year!
Grassroots Soccer – Thanks to our
Sponsors!
A very special thank you to Little Caesars
– Acadia and Oxford Learning Centre – Acadia for their generous support of our
Grassroots and Adaptive Soccer programs. Their contributions help us deliver
inclusive, high-quality programming for families in and around our community.
We encourage our members to support these local businesses, whether grabbing a
quick family meal or exploring high-quality educational support for your
children! These valued partners make Acadia a stronger and more connected community,
and we are so grateful for their involvement.
Allandale Close Playground Replacement
Project – Get Involved
Fundraising is underway for the Allandale
Close Playground replacement, and we’re grateful for the strong start,
including support from Little Caesars – Acadia’s April promotion! Now, we
invite our community to keep the momentum going. Every donation, share, and
contribution brings us closer to creating a safe, inclusive, and vibrant play
space for local families.
