Let’s Get Outside Together!
As the days grow longer and the weather
warms, it’s the perfect time to reconnect with neighbours and enjoy everything
our vibrant community has to offer. We’re excited to kick off another season of
events and opportunities to come together, and we hope to see you out and about
this spring.
Join us for the Lake Chaparral Stampede
Pancake Breakfast (co-hosted with the Lake Chaparral Residents Association) on
Saturday, June 20, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm — a great way to start your day
with delicious food and friendly faces.
Then roll up your sleeves for the City of
Calgary Community Cleanup on Sunday, June 21, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the
Lake Chaparral overflow parking lot. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook for
a list of accepted items and additional event details.
Throughout the year, the Chaparral
Community Association (CCA) organizes a variety of events for residents of all
ages, including:
·
Easter Egg Hunt
·
Pathway, River, Parks, and
Community Cleanup
·
City of Calgary Community
Cleanup
·
Stampede Pancake Breakfast
(co-hosted with the Lake Chaparral Residents Association)
·
End of Summer Bash
·
Skate with Santa
·
Festival of Lights
Did you know? CCA members can borrow a
selection of sports and recreational equipment, including adult and child
snowshoes, walking poles, and a portable disc golf set. Feel free to reach out
if you’d like to take advantage of these resources.
Our monthly board meetings are typically
held on the second Wednesday of each month, and we’re always happy to welcome
new faces. Getting involved is a great way to meet neighbours and make a
meaningful impact — after all, many hands make light work.
