Diamond Cove Homeowners Bylaw Update
Over the past year, the board has been
working to update and modernize our community bylaws.
These proposed changes were presented at
the April AGM, and with the support of the community, we anticipate the updated
bylaws will be approved and adopted. The revised bylaws align with current
legislation, clarify board roles and responsibilities, and provide a strong
foundation for the association moving forward.
If you would like more information or a
copy of the bylaws, please contact us at [email protected].
Enhanced Landscape Maintenance (ELM)
Program
Maintaining the appearance of Diamond Cove
remains a priority. The board has been reviewing how our landscaping budget is
allocated to ensure we are maximizing impact across seasonal planters, flower
beds, and general maintenance.
We have also participated in city-led
discussions regarding updates to the Enhanced Landscape Maintenance (ELM)
Program. These changes are intended to improve how communities manage and
enhance shared spaces, and we will continue to keep residents informed as more
details become available.
Diamond Cove Attenuation Wall
The board continues to work with the City
of Calgary and other partners to clarify responsibilities related to the
attenuation wall along Bow Bottom Trail.
As part of this process, a sound assessment
is expected in 2026 or 2027. This work will help better understand current
noise levels and inform any future considerations.
Urban Forestry & Tree Planting
We are also working with the city’s Urban
Forestry team to explore additional tree planting opportunities within Diamond
Cove, including the playground, soccer field, and dog park.
Enhancing our tree canopy supports both the
beauty and environmental health of our community. Updates will be shared as
plans progress.
Diamond Cove Community Contact List
Our list is growing! Clear communication is
key to a connected community.
The board continues to build a voluntary
contact list of homeowners to share updates, announcements, and community
information more effectively. If you would like to be included, please email
your home address and preferred contact method to [email protected].
Celebrate Neighbours Day
We are excited to invite you to Neighbours
Day:
Saturday, June 21.
Location: Diamond Cove Playground.
Join us for an afternoon of community
connection, conversation, and fun. Hot dogs, snacks, and drinks — fresh off the
grill, sponsored by Royal LePage; we are grateful to once again have the
support of Brenda Field from Royal LePage for this event, and hosted with the
help of dedicated Board members and volunteers
Whether you’re new to the neighbourhood or
have lived here for years, this is a great opportunity to meet neighbours and
enjoy the community we share. Watch our Facebook page for the time of this year’s
event!
Please Slow Down in Our Community
We continue to receive concerns regarding
speeding within Diamond Cove.
Too many vehicles are still travelling
above posted limits and not stopping at crosswalks. This is especially
concerning as more children, families, and pets are out enjoying the
neighbourhood.
We ask all residents and visitors to:
• Respect
posted speed limits
• Come
to a full stop at crosswalks
• Remain
alert in residential areas
Keeping our streets safe is a shared
responsibility. Please slow down.
Annual Garage Sale
Our much-anticipated Diamond Cove Garage
Sale is back:
Saturday, September 5, 2026.
We are pleased to once again have the
support of Brenda Field from Royal LePage as our sponsor.
This is a fantastic opportunity to declutter
your home, connect with neighbours, and turn unused items into extra cash.
More details will be shared on our Facebook
page in the coming months, but now is the perfect time to start setting items
aside.
