This Spring the Cedarbrae
Community Centre played host to a three-part seminar series on Generational
Wealth Transfer. Taught by CFA Investment Advisor Alison Snowball, these
classes were free to all and focused on wills, estates, and long-term financial
planning. Alison proved herself to be well versed, personable, and a new
favourite here in Cedarbrae! We hope to convince her to return for a variety of
potential financial seminars in the future, stay tuned to My Cedarbrae for
upcoming classes.
Reflecting on the
experience and what was learned, Alison notes the value of real, honest
dialogue, as the attendees grappled with the intricacies of wealth and estate
planning. She notes the key takeaway is that at the root of wealth transfer is
knowledge transfer. Our legacies are the sum of all that we’ll leave behind,
not just the financial wealth we’ve gathered. Big ideas and huge learning
