Get Growing
Cedarbrae
As June blossoms
in Cedarbrae, some of the lovely yards, pots, and planters will be too! Now
that our planting is done, it’s time weed, feed, prune, and protect the growth
that has begun. Consider checking out the City of Calgary’s YardSmart page for
all kinds of tips and tricks specific to our unique climate and circumstances.
Water deeply but less frequently to encourage root growth, be water wise
wherever you can, and if possible, don’t water during the heat of the day. June
often brings the possibility of severe weather; wind and hail are a fact of
life in Calgary. Tender young plants can be covered with empty pots, and some
quick growing crops can be restarted if they are lost. We see you Cedarbrae
gardeners, your efforts make our community a beautiful, vibrant place to be,
thank you!
