Calgary has eleven free and convenient
Household Hazardous Waste drop‑off locations across the city. Everyday items like
household paints, batteries, and cleaning products don’t belong in your residential
waste collection carts. Proper drop‑off helps prevent fires, toxic fumes, chemical
spills, and keeps our community safe.

Medicine Hill/Paskapoo Slopes Plan
The City of Calgary is seeking feedback
on proposed park concepts from April 7 to May 10. Help shape a plan that protects

Rain Barrel Rebate

Spolumbo’s
Fundraiser
This
popular fundraiser is back just in time for camping and grilling season! Fill your
freezer with Spolumbo’s delicious sausages and burgers. A portion of all proceeds
will go back to the Community Association. Your support helps us build our hub,
run programs, and host events like Movie in the Park.
Spolumbo’s
products are local and handmade with no fillers, binders, or preservatives—and all
sausages are gluten-free!
Order
deadline: May 31 at 4:00 pm.
Annual Community Cleanup in
Partnership with the West Springs Cougar Ridge Community Association and the City
of Calgary
When: May 17 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Where: French International School, 700 77
St SW.
Vendors include Calgary Waste Services,
Shanks Electronic Recycling, Recon Metal Recycling, Cerebral Palsy (accepting donated
household goods and clothing), and Re-Mat (accepting car seats and mattresses).
Please note you do have to pay a small fee. Please arrive early. As soon as each
organization’s trucks are full, they won’t be accepting anymore items, including
City of Calgary Waste Services. Please bring a food donation for the YYCHatch Community
Fridge.
Farm Stand Fridays
Will be returning in May! In partnership
with Calgary Eats, we would love to welcome back Shirley’s Greenhouses from Didsbury,
AB, and all of their wonderful locally grown produce. Held Fridays 2:00 to 6:00
pm in the park in Patterson (just off Patterson Boulevard SW). Support our local
farmers! They specialize in cucumbers, peppers, leafy greens and herbs, beans, tomatoes,
and an assortment of canned goods like homemade dill pickles. As the summer progresses,
produce offerings expand as they operate a large outdoor market garden.
