Letter from the Board
Our beautiful community shines when
neighbours come together, and this summer we have some exciting DRCA events to
keep the connections strong. We recently kicked off the season with the Parade
of Garage Sales on June 6 — a fun way for residents to connect and find
treasures. Coming up, don’t miss the Community Cleanup on June 13 (co-hosted
with Springbank Hill and Signal Hill Community Associations) and the Stampede
Round-Up on June 20.
Our largest fundraiser, the Casino, occurs
roughly every 18 months and historically raises $80,000 to $90,000. These funds
support maintenance and improvements to your much-loved recreation center,
helping ensure Discovery Ridge remains a vibrant and welcoming place.
We would love to have you join the DRCA
Events Committee and help shape the future of fun community events in Discovery
Ridge. We’re looking for volunteers with ideas, energy, and a passion for
bringing neighbours together. Whether you’d like to help plan a single event or
be part of the team year-round, your input can make a real impact. Together, we
can create exciting new experiences for families and residents — from community
fun runs and pumpkin hunts to Halloween tours, block parties, holiday events, and
entirely new ideas inspired by our community. Come help us build memorable
events and make Discovery Ridge the kind of community where residents don’t
just attend the events — they help create them.
Share your suggestions at [email protected]—let’s
make this year unforgettable!
Warm regards,
The Discovery Ridge Community Association
