The Amazing Race—Thank You!
Last month, the Glenbrook Community Association held its first ever
Amazing Race event! We sent 11 teams around the entire neighbourhood and tested
their physical and mental abilities. It was a great day of community spirit and
getting to know a bit more about where you live.
We would like to thank everyone who signed up to participate in the
inaugural race. You took whatever was thrown at you in stride and kept pushing
until the very end. Great job to all of you, and especially our winners, Leah
and Rae Hamilton!
We would also like to sincerely thank all of the local businesses and
organizations that helped make this event possible, by donating goodies for the
racers, prizes for our winners, and/or allowing us to include you in the race
route: Calgary Co-op Richmond Road, Sweet Fusion, Bubble Tea Brewers, and Linda
Wilson with CIR Realty.
Lastly, a big thank you to all of the volunteers who got this idea off
the ground. The Amazing Race could not have happened without you, and your
dedication is certainly recognized. We can’t wait to see what the future holds!
