Conveniently situated in the northwest of Fairview is the beloved Chinook Centre, a favoured shopping destination among Calgarians. Education options abound with a mix of Public and Private schools catering to families, including Fairview Bilingual Elementary and Junior High, Le Roi Daniels School, West Island College, and Tanbridge Academy. Moreover, Global Kids Academy provides a secure daycare haven for families with toddlers.
The heart of Fairview beats within its Community Association, established in 1960 as a vital not-for-profit entity under the Societies Act. Committed to fostering connections, ensuring safety, and promoting healthy living, the Association organizes annual events such as the Spring Fling clean-up, Hazardous Waste Roundup, Skate with Santa, and various programs like their snow shovelling initiative. They also undertake ongoing playground regeneration and liaise with the City of Calgary on community issues.
In partnership, the Fairview Community Association collaborates with the In-Definite Arts Association and Fairview Women’s Hockey Arena Society (FWHAS) to manage the community building for daily operations and maintenance.

According to the City of Calgary 2021 Census, Fairview’s population in private households amounts to approximately 3,675 residents, with the majority (69%) falling within the 15 to 64 years age bracket. The community boasts a median total household income of $84,000 before tax, showcasing a diverse populace with 27% being immigrants, primarily from Asia.
In terms of employment, 30% of the labour force engages in Sales and Service occupations, the dominant occupation category in Fairview. Moreover, the neighbourhood maintains a healthy cost-to-income ratio, with 79% of households spending less than 30% of their total income on shelter.
Homeownership stands at 66%, providing a range of housing options in the community.
