Spring Showers and Summer Flowers!
June is the end of the school year! Soon kids
and adults will be out and about with bikes, balls, and extra socializing.
Contractors are busy in our community with spring cleaning and summer planting
– watch out for work crews!
Missed the recent AGMs? Check the KCA’s
website, Symons Valley Park’s website, and KRA’s website/portal calendar for
project construction updates. This summer we will have work done on the Kincora
Boulevard NW infrastructure, two more benches added in the ravines, and a new
pond playground! Did you see the flagging at the Symons Valley Park site?
Kincora Street Cleaning
Kincora street cleaning is scheduled for
Thursday, June 18. You can sign up with the City of Calgary for reminders
and/or notifications.
Please place garbage collection bins on the
end of your driveway or on your lawn close to the curb.
The entire KRA community is being cleaned
in one day. This is different than previous two-day schedules. Even if the
sweepers have passed, do not park on the street during scheduled hours –
vehicles can still get ticketed and/or towed. All of Kincora is being swept so
finding your relocated vehicle maybe a challenge.
Father’s Day
Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 21. It
began to honour the lives of over 300 American men lsot in a tragic mining
accident in 1908. In 1910, trailing the new Mother’s Day, it became an annual
observance and included all fathers. It jumped the border into Canada in the
early 1920s.
KRA AGM
The KRA’s AGM will be held on Tuesday, June
30. Board members are needed to continue any expansion of community
improvements.
AGM packages are in the distribution
process, so check your email and/or mailbox! Didn’t get your AGM package? Email
Jill at [email protected] to update your contact information and to sign
up for portal access so you can view it anytime.
Please consider submitting your proxy if
you are unable to attend – this lets the KRA board know of your support for
what is accomplished.
Account Balances
Accounts with balances will have interest
updated this month. Accounts eligible for collections have received their
individual final notices before being sent for collections. Once contacted by
SVR lawyers, contact SVR lawyers to resolve the outstanding balance.
