Manager’s Meanderings
“I’ve got a room.” I much enjoy taking away
the stressors of that part of our Member’s Event planning process.
Our Boardroom is getting some mileage this
year, workshops, classes, crafts, fitness, dance, mentoring, annual, and
seasonal meetings. AV ready and seating twenty-ish comfortably, it is a good
room for your team building sessions.
If you want to utilize our Main Hall for
your event this winter, please do reach out sooner rather than later. We are
already taking bookings into summer 2027. It is a good space, with six decades
of hosting people who enjoy themselves. Contact me at [email protected]
with some details and we can confirm dates and have you in for a walk through
of our community facility to ensure it will work for your event!
Do you have an event to plan that is
outside of the 200+ capacity of our multi use Main Hall? Do you know we rent
our backyard, too? We are in the middle of a series of really fun and
educational events this summer! Indian Bengali Holi colours festivities,
African and Mongolian cultural feasts and fests, and some laid back live music
and lawn chair afternoons. Porchdogs June 7, Tremeloco July 19, and volume two
of our own multi-band and bouncy castle MCA Great Big Family Picnic August 15.
Join us July 19, California-based Tremoloco
brings a Tex-Mex–influenced sound to our backyard. Raw roots, spiced up with
country and rock ’n’ roll seasonings, served on an edgy Southwest platter of
musical yumminess. These fellas have been on the road for years, shaping their
music into something special and rare, relaxed yet lively, and full of
character. Bring your lawn chair, your young ones, teens, and grandparents… and
yes, please do invite your neighbour or friend who is not getting out to
socialize enough. Expect a feel-good Sunday afternoon with lawn dancing and
friends and family.
