Cost of a Good Food Box:

Small
Box: 15 to 20 lbs of fruits and vegetables – $36.75
·
Medium
Box: 25 to 30 lbs of fruits and vegetables – $42.00
·
Large
Box: 35 to 40 lbs of fruits and vegetables – $47.25
Many thanks to those that want to
volunteer for such a great initiative! Our next meeting will share the small
but mighty responsibilities to continue making this a viable Community Program
that all can benefit from.
Calgary Food Bank Donations
We are rethinking how best to support
the Calgary Food Bank. Our food bank donations plan of using community events
does not seem to be working very well. If you have any input on how best to
support the Calgary Food Bank please let us know by emailing North Haven
Community Food at
[email protected], calling and leaving a message at 403-284-2716,
or attending one of our Community Food Meetings. Your input is important to us on
how best to support the Calgary Food Bank or other Food Bank Initiatives.
Community Garden
Look for the Community Garden flyer
coming out shortly to acquire a Garden Plot, or if you’re interested in
upkeeping the NHCA plots. The NHCA produce from their plots are shared at Good Food
Box pick up dates.
Community Garden plots are still open
for registration! Email [email protected] or check the website at
northhavenyyc.ca/garden.
Volunteers Needed
A big shout out to those that have
showed interest. We so appreciate your wanting to be involved. If you’d like to
assist one or more of our Food Programs, even if it’s one time, or to assist on
the committee, your time and involvement would be so awesome!
