Triwood Beautification Committee
Triwood is launching a new Beautification
Committee, and we’re looking for community members to help shape our first
exciting proposed project: a community mural on the exterior of our arena
building.
Led by Triwood Community Association board
member, local artist, and teacher Maria G. Herrera, as well as Triwood
Community Association’s Community Engagement Manager, Shivani Gibbs, this
volunteer committee will focus on gathering community input to ensure the
mural’s design reflects the stories, identity, communities, and spirit of
Triwood.
The project will roll out in phases,
starting with community ideas and concept development, followed by funding and,
ultimately, bringing the mural to life. Along the way, the committee may also
explore other opportunities to enhance and beautify our community. No artistic
experience is needed. This role is about ideas, collaboration, and community
connection.
