From
Easter Joy to Spring Celebrations at St. Rita School
St.
Rita students enjoyed a long and restful Easter break in April. When classes
resumed, there were field trips and swimming lessons, as well as Girls at Bat,
a baseball program aimed at increasing girls’ participation in sport!
Our
annual Open House (May 7, 6:00 pm) will welcome prospective families to tour
the building, meet our teachers, and hear the choir. Kindergarten Orientation
takes place the same night. We encourage all families to enquire about
registration for 2026 to 2027.
In May,
we turn our focus to Mary and celebrate her and all mothers with a liturgy. Our
students will also create a Living Rosary to honour Mary. And to celebrate
spring, our school council puts on the Spring Dance which always brings out
many of our families!
As we
move toward the final weeks of the school year, we are grateful for the many
opportunities our students have had to learn, grow, and celebrate together as a
faith-filled community. From joyful Easter reflections to active spring
programs and meaningful Marian celebrations, St. Rita continues to be a place
where students are supported in both mind and spirit. We look forward to
finishing the year strong, celebrating our many accomplishments, and sending
our grade six students off with our prayers and best wishes as they begin an
exciting new chapter in junior high.
