Community Cleanup

June 7 from

The New Brighton and Shepard
Community Cleanup event provides an opportunity for Calgarians to dispose of
items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts. This event also
supports community residents who do not have access to cart service. Please note that these events accept
residential waste only. Three
City of Calgary waste trucks will be
onsite with crews.

Items accepted: Charity
donations, tires, car batteries, metals, electronics, bike recycling, and more!

Items not being accepted: Household
chemicals, glass, paint, and propane/helium tanks.

New Brighton’s Sunset Market

July 23 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm

Soak up the sunshine and
celebrate the season at the New Brighton Sunset Market. Come to the Clubhouse
on Thursday, July 23 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm to hear great live music, have fun in
our kids’ zone, grab a bite to eat from food trucks on-site, and purchase
unique goodies from great local vendors!

Emergency
First Aid (Recertification)

Spring
Session 2: May 23, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

A two-day
Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR course that provides an overview of first
aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home.
This course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and meets OHS
regulations for Basic First Aid. This course is designed for individuals who
already hold a current and valid Emergency First Aid certificate and need to
renew it. Participants will refresh their skills and knowledge through hands-on
practice, without the need for any online component.

Residents:
$115; non-residents: $130

T-Ball
(Parented)

Spring
Session 2: May 12 to June 16, 4:45 to 5:25 pm

Big League
Fun! In this parent and child T-Ball program, you and your little one will be
introduced to fundamental concepts of gameplay and taught the basic skills
required to play ball with confidence in a supportive, non-competitive
environment. Coaches zero in on skills like throwing, catching, batting form,
running bases, and fielding in fun, exciting, and skill-focused play.

Session 2: May 26 to June 23, 6:45 to 7:45pm

Does your
child’s drawing come with a giggle? It’s time for them to join the fun-filled
world of Young Rembrandts Cartoon class! Watch as their drawings come to life,
featuring everything from baseball-playing animals to ogres with tons of
attitude. This isn’t just any art class—it’s your child’s ticket to a world
where creativity flies and laughter reigns. Sign up now and let the giggles and
doodles flow!

Session 2: May 21 to June 18, 7:15 to 8:15 pm

Students will
learn all the coolest moves of today in a creative, fun environment through
warm-ups, games, activities, and combinations to feel like the star of the
show.

Annual
NBRA Fees

Residents of
New Brighton are reminded that the Annual New Brighton Residents Association
Fees are now past due. Residents are reminded that all delinquent accounts paid
after April 30, 2026, are subject to interest charges of prime plus five
percent per annum and other charges related to the collection of these fees.
