Presidents’ Message
Spring is in the air and there’s lots
of excitement in Marda Loop for this year. You’ll soon notice construction at
the MLCA community hall. We are undertaking our Hall Revitalization project
that is planned to be completed in the fall. We’ve got upcoming events like
Indulge and Neighbours Day, as well as several projects on the go aimed at
improving community public spaces. Strengthening and better connecting the
Marda Loop community is a core purpose in everything we do. I look forward to
meeting you as you get out in the community.
Positions are available for the
fall in our wonderful preschool program, particularly for afternoon spots. I
can’t say enough about the great teachers and positive learning environment. It’s
a gem in the MLCA community.
We have a number of fitness class
options that will continue right through hall construction, and an active and
lively seniors’ group. I encourage you to get involved. Unfortunately, we’ve
had to cancel some activities that are impacted by the construction project.
As always, our progress depends on volunteers
to bring our initiatives to life. We are currently seeking support for several
key roles, including the Board Vice President, Volunteer Director, Preschool
Director, and Facilities Director. Whether you have professional experience to
share or are simply interested in contributing to your community, there is a
place for you, and we would welcome your participation.
It has never been a better time to
become a MLCA community member. If you aren’t currently a member, you can
easily join via the MLCA website. There are many benefits including a long list
of company discount opportunities.
