President’s Message
Summer is almost upon us, tennis
and pickle ball are in full swing, and soccer fields are a beehive of activity.
The MLCA Community Hall
Revitalization Project has kicked off and is scheduled to be completed by the
end of September. The result will be a modernized façade, and an improved
experience for renters. If you’re planning an event, give us a try.
The Indulge event with a denim and
diamonds theme is being held on June 6, with tickets available on the MLCA
website. Always a lot of fun, and I hear there will be a fantastic silent
auction. I’ll be there looking to meet as many of you as possible.
We still have available spots for
our wonderful preschool program with a September start, particularly for
afternoon slots. If you want your child to be as prepared as possible for kindergarten
and grade one, this is the place to go.
As always, we are looking for
volunteers for a number of roles, just use the MLCA website to express your
interest. The MLCA Board has openings for Vice President and Facilities
Director. Sustainability, and Development Planning and Mobility subcommittees
are also looking for members. Being a community volunteer is fulfilling and a
great way to contribute back to your community.
If you aren’t already a MLCA
member, I recommend you sign up. For a reasonable cost, you get access to a
number of activities and programs, as well as a long list of vendor discount
programs.
