Seniors

Details: This year marks
the 40 anniversary of Senior’s Week in Alberta, a time to show appreciation for
the contributions seniors have made to our communities. Check https://www.calgary.ca/events/seniors-week.html for the schedule of events and for any happening nearby.
Tri-City Community Cleanup
Signal Hill, Discovery Ridge
and Springbank Hill Community Associations are once again joining forces to host
a Community Cleanup event this year.

Location: Westside King’s
Church (3939 69 St. SW Calgary AB)

Details: The city
will be providing trucks to collect garbage going to the landfill. Other recycling
vendors may be onsite to collect metal, electronics, tires, and household donations.
We cannot accept chemicals, contaminated materials, or hazardous items. Due to our
success with this event last year the city will be doubling the number of garbage
trucks this year to facilitate for a quicker drop off.
Farm
Stand – NEW Location for 2026

from 4:00 to 6:00 pm through till Thanksgiving

Vendor: Fresh Pal Farms

Location: 69 Street C-Train
Station (7085 17 Ave SW)
·
Details: The SBHCA is partnering
with the City of Calgary and Fresh Pal Farms to bring farm fresh veggies to our
neighbourhood. Check out the farm stand and bring home seasonal vegetables for dinner.
